Fall River Data Security Solutions was founded by a service-disabled Marine Corps Veteran and technology professional passionate about educating users on the power of securing their data. In 2006, Benjamin was a young infantry team member in the Marine Corps, overseeing over $30 million in equipment and conducting high-risk operations in Fallujah, Iraq. During this time, he was responsible not only for the physical security and accountability of mission-critical assets, but also for maintaining clear communication, strict adherence to protocols, and unwavering attention to detail under extreme pressure. These experiences impressed upon him the life-or-death importance of vigilance, preparation, and trust, principles that would later form the backbone of his approach to digital security and data protection.
Since 2016, he has been a leader within the 1st Battalion, 25th Marines Association, a non-profit 501(c)(19) organization dedicated to supporting the members of the unit in which he served. In this role, he has helped coordinate outreach efforts, organize events that strengthen unit cohesion, and connect Marines and their families with critical resources related to healthcare, education, and career development. Recognizing that today’s battles are often fought in the digital domain, he became increasingly aware of how vulnerable veteran-services organizations could be to malicious cyber actors seeking to exploit sensitive personal and organizational data.
When it became apparent that these organizations were under attack, Benjamin focused on bolstering his protective skills in cyberspace, determined to defend the same community he once protected on the battlefield. He immersed himself in modern security practices, threat analysis, and network defense strategies to better safeguard the systems and people he serves. In October 2023, he acquired his second Bachelor of Science Degree in Cybersecurity & Network Engineering, building on his technical foundation with formal training in secure infrastructure design, risk management, and incident response. This academic achievement was followed by the award of a CompTIA Security+ certificate the following year, validating his expertise in industry-recognized best practices and further equipping him to anticipate, prevent, and respond to emerging cyber threats.
He also brings extensive collaborative experience, having worked with both small and large teams across diverse sectors, including literary publishing, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, media production, theater, security, and hospitality.
